How to: Add push pins to mark special points on a data map.
Solution:
Activate the data map and click 'Custom Pin Map'. Create a new pin map and click on a special point on the map to insert a push pin and a description for the pin.
1) Double-click on the data map to activate it. (The Data Map toolbar appears.)
2) Click 'Custom Pin Map' toolbar button. (The Custom Pin Map dialog box appears.)

3) Type a name for the new pin map.

NOTE: Naming a custom pin map allows the pin map to be reused and makes it easy to switch from one collection of push pins to another when there are multiple custom pin maps.
4) Click 'OK'.
5) Click on a special point to mark on the map. (A push pin appears at the point.)
6) (Optional) Type a description for the pin.
7) Repeat steps 5) and 6) until all the special points are marked with a push pin.
